    • Assessment: Candidates are assessed through a practical assessment and a short written theory test.
    • Valid for: Three years. Candidates will need to retake the full course to remain qualified.

    This course is suitable for anyone who uses abrasive wheels or other grinding and cutting tools as part of their role. This includes the operatives who use the equipment and managers and supervisors of the operatives.

    What are the learning outcomes for this course?

    After finishing the course, candidates will have legal knowledge for safe abrasive wheel usage, hazard identification and prevention, and selection, use, and inspection of PPE and safety equipment.

    Candidates are assessed through a practical assessment and a short written theory test.
