    Emergency First Aid at Work is designed for people with specific responsibility to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation, whether in the workplace or in voluntary and community activities.

    • Entry Requirements: This course requires no formal entry requirements. However, participants must be physically able to participate in all of the practical activities during this course.
    • Course Length: One day.
    • Assessment: A mixture of theory and practical learning and will require completing a short assessment at the end of the day.

    What does Emergency First Aid at Work include?

    This course will provide you with knowledge on handling the following circumstances:

    • Acting safely and effectively in an emergency
    • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Treatment of an unconscious casualty
    • Wounds and bleeding
    • Shock
    • Choking
    • Minor Injuries
    • Use of first aid equipment
    • Record Keeping

    What are the learning outcomes for this course?

    At the end of the course, participants will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the emergency first aider's role.

    How is this course assessed?

    The course will consist of a mixture of theory and practical learning and will require completing a short assessment at the end of the day. We recommend you wear suitable clothing and footwear for the course. Successful participants will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

    Emergency First Aid qualifications are valid for three years. After the three years have passed, the qualification will need to be renewed.
