The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is a globally recognised chartered body that promotes the highest standards for workplace health and safety. Effective safety training reduces the likelihood of workplace injuries, which can lead to staff absences, legal issues, or financial penalties.
IOSH Working Safely is a 1-day course which provides basic health and safety training for workers at all levels and in all organisations. It is an entry-level course which meets the UK government guidelines for required awareness of workplace health and safety.

This training course is appropriate for individuals working in any industry, offering essential entry-level health and safety training. It equips participants with the skills to recognise potential hazards and risks, enhancing workplace safety and enabling them and their colleagues to work securely.
By providing this training, employers can fulfil their obligation to offer comprehensive health and safety awareness training. Upon completion, staff members will receive a globally recognised certificate.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

This is delivered through a combination of presentations, videos and more practical activities such as quizzes, games & discussions.
The IOSH Working Safely course is designed to educate candidates on the significance of maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. It equips them with the necessary skills to implement these practices. Participants will gain an understanding of their legal obligations and responsibilities, learn to identify risks and hazards and understand how adopting good safety practices can enhance their personal well-being as well as that of their colleagues.
All candidates are required to complete a short written exam at the end of the course.
