Who is this qualification suitable for?

Experienced Construction Site Managers and Construction Site Senior Managers who are aiming to gain the Black CSCS Manager Card.

    Are there any entry requirements?

Learners must be aged 18 or over. The qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role; therefore, they must be working as a Senior Construction Site Manager or in a role at the same level.

We conduct a thorough eligibility and suitability process with every new learner, so if this NVQ is not suitable, we will suggest one that is.

What does NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management include?

This NVQ includes both mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units are:

    • Develop Self and Others in Construction Management

Learners will then need to choose from a selection of optional units

How long does it take to complete the NVQ?

The learner will be assessed in their workplace in a variety of ways, such as through evidence generated from the workplace.

    Evidence types could include:

    • Workplace Evidence
    • Work Product (written work)
    • Observations
    • Witness Testimonies

    • Professional Discussions

To achieve the NVQ, the learner must provide sufficient evidence to meet the units and unit criteria for the NVQ. The assessor will continually review the learner’s progress and support the learner throughout the duration of their NVQ.

Once the learner’s portfolio has been completed, this will undergo an internal verification process before certification.

    How is this qualification delivered?

    NVQs can be completed nationwide.

Progress can be made remotely and through site visits (if required).

Once we have enrolled the learner, they will be assigned an assessor who will work with them to build their portfolio of evidence.

Learners registering for this qualification will be enrolled on the e-Portfolio system, Bud.

    The system allows learners to:

    • Access anytime and from anywhere, via PC, laptop, tablet or phone
    • Upload evidence as they have it, e.g. photos, videos and documents straight from their phone
    • Complete activities and send messages straight to their assessor
    • View their progress, see what’s outstanding and next steps
    • Access support documents and information as and when required

The assessor will also arrange a site induction with the learner. The site induction can be delivered on-site or remotely and is used to plan how the learner will obtain all the required evidence.

The assessor will also follow up with regular reviews to ensure that the learner is on track with their qualification.
