Learners must be aged 18 or over. The qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role; therefore, they must be working as a Senior Construction Site Manager or in a role at the same level.

We conduct a thorough eligibility and suitability process with every new learner, so if this NVQ is not suitable, we will suggest one that is.

To achieve the NVQ, the learner must provide sufficient evidence to meet the units and unit criteria for the NVQ. The assessor will continually review the learner’s progress and support the learner throughout the duration of their NVQ.

Once the learner’s portfolio has been completed, this will undergo an internal verification process before certification.

NVQs can be completed nationwide.

Progress can be made remotely and through site visits (if required).

Learners registering for this qualification will be enrolled on the e-Portfolio system, Bud.

The system allows learners to:

  • Access anytime and from anywhere, via PC, laptop, tablet or phone
  • Upload evidence as they have it, e.g. photos, videos and documents straight from their phone
  • Complete activities and send messages straight to their assessor
  • View their progress, see what’s outstanding and next steps
  • Access support documents and information as and when required

The assessor will also arrange a site induction with the learner. The site induction can be delivered on-site or remotely and is used to plan how the learner will obtain all the required evidence.
